I hope to inspire you to create a beautiful spiritual, or theme of your choosing
antiqued “time-worn” pendant.
While applying inks, chalks and paint to further color and antique your

further embellish using small medals, crosses, rhinestones and gems of your
choosing. An ornate reproduction

In the second phase of
our projects I am so excited to share my techniques in teaching you to create
gorgeous forged metal, hand-worked, distressed crosses; you will create 2 to 3,

QUEEN OF HEARTS - GILDED
$145 one-day class
“But
how will I eat cake if my head is over there, and my hands are over here?” ―
Marie Antoinette
Let’s
be inspired by the Victorian Era as we design one of a kind jeweled art using a
Queen image; Mother Mary, Marie Antoinette, or the Queen of your own Heart to
create beautiful ornate Gilded Crown Pendants.
During
this 6 hour class, we will work with a soldering iron and create pendants and
crowns ~ I will share my very popular Gilded and finishing techniques. We will further embellish our works of
art by securely soldering vintage gems and found objects from your individual
collections. I will provide a
selection of stampings and filigrees to further decorate with.
We
will also be forming, manipulating, forging and work-hardening wire to create
bails, chain links and closures.
To
complete your necklace design you will be using your favorite beads and
crystals to compliment your one of a kind crowned pendants.
KIT FEE: $28 PAYABLE TO INSTRUCTOR AT CLASS TIME AND INCLUDES

CHATELAINE
$145 one-day class
“In the 18th and 19th
centuries, women in charge of their estates wore a decorative clip of long
chains holding important household items about the waist. These items were
things like the key to a pantry where valuable tea, spices and food were kept;
a small notebook; sewing items; a magnifying glass; or maybe a watch, nail
file, or compass. The earlier waist-hung items were referred to as “equipage”,
later evolving to “chatelaine” in the early 1800s.”
